Choosing wines should be a fun experience
Winesnvines is a vibrant new company whose aim is to bring you a great selection of high quality wines produced by small wineries across Italy and the rest of the world, through our online wine shop. We believe that you too should have the chance to enjoy these little known wines, and not just the locals who are lucky enough to live there! We’re also big believers in making the whole process of choosing a wine a fun experience. The way we see it is that you should have as much fun selecting a wine as you would have drinking it. Winensnvines want to inspire a sense of curiosity in you to experiment with different wines that perhaps you normally wouldn’t.
By having this respect for the land and history of the vines you’re guaranteed a top quality bottle of wine every time, without fail.
The business was started by Robert, Marco, and Andrea, 3 young Italians immensely passionate about wine. We took the decision to only work with wineries who share our vision and agree to be bound by our code of ethics. From this the idea of an online wine shop. Firstly, all winesnvines producers must use environmentally friendly production methods. Although this seems obvious, many wineries don’t follow this as it often sacrifices the quantity of the grapes they can produce. It’s important to us that they have a connection to their land as it guarantees they are not willing to compromise on quality even at the risk of lower yields.
Finally, they must respect the vine and the history that it carries. This way they won’t produce a wine depending on the changing tastes of the market, they produce what they produce, are very good at it and fiercely proud of the job they do.
By having this respect for the land and history of the vines you’re guaranteed a top quality bottle of wine every time, without fail.
Secondly, they must demonstrate they treat their staff well and fairly without taking advantage of them, something that is unfortunately not uncommon in the agricultural sector abroad.
We have a constantly growing selection of wines that really do deserve to be more famous than they actually are.
We currently have over 120 wines hand-picked by ourselves, and we are more than happy to give personal advice or recommendations to help you choose a different wine from one that you would normally drink.

When the wine arrives in Cardiff winesnvines operate a zero plastic, zero waste policy when it comes to distribution, we don’t even deliver your wine in a cardboard box. We use reusable jute bags (hessian bags) which you can either hang on to and change on the next delivery or simply take the loose bottles when we deliver. So what are you waiting for? We’re extremely confident that you won’t be disappointed by our selection.

Marco Perini
Favourite Wine: Verdicchio Castelli di Jesi.
Born in the small town of Senigallia overlooking the Adriatic Sea in the stunning region of Marche, Marco is a true connoisseur of the arts. He enjoys painting and music and sees these as ‘a vehicle for finesse and creativity’. A real wine buff, Marco is also a qualified Sommelier and has an abundance of experience working with big wine retailers and distributors in Italy and the UK. Considers wine as a companion to a journey, a way to discover and to help unveil new realities, new stories. His aim is to show these new realities to the world.
Robert Maggi
Favourite Wine: Nero di Troia.
Half Welsh, half Italian. Born and bred in Puglia Robert is now settled in Cardiff where he has been for the past 3 years. It was a simple wine course back in 2013 that sparked his passion for wine and he now holds a level 3 WSET as a qualified Sommelier. He has extensive experience in the sector including time with the award winning Australian winery ‘Jim Barry Wines’ as well as dedicating the last 5 years to the promotion of Puglian wines around the globe. He’s a real wine enthusiast and is always on the hunt for new varieties!
Andrea Vincenti
Favourite Wine: Primitivo di Manduria.
As the old saying goes, you can take the boy out of Puglia, but not Puglia out of the boy! Andrea’s interest in wine stemmed from his time in the hospitality trade in his native Puglia. After 10 years working in the logistics sector he changed tack to follow his true passion and became a Sommelier. He then gained a masters in Marketing and Communication and moved to London where he worked in the wine industry supply chain. He loves travelling to discover new vines but keeps Puglia very close to his heart.
