Barbaresco Reyna 2017 – Michele Chiarlo
£36.00
Intense and vivid ruby red, slightly garnet on the edge. Rose petals open the nose, then a hints of cherry jam and ripe berries. The secondary and tertiary aromas are tobacco, coffee, mocha, cocoa and leather. It is a full-bodied wine well balanced with the tannic texture, with a very good length.

Tradition and discipline. Lightness and passion. Care for the landscape, art and community. Sustainability and experimentation. With a pop art stroke and a carefree touch.
Since 1956, Michele Chiarlo has been vinifying the essence of Piedmont, loving and developing the most incredible wine region in the world. We grow 110 hectares of vineyards between Langhe, Monferrato and Gavi, the finest crus while fully respecting the ecological criteria, the terroir and their expression.
“For us, the vineyard is a living thing, a life that we want to experience.”
Barbaresco
The 2017 vintage has been defined by a long summer with very little rain. In the vineyard, we have thus adopted agronomic practices that would enable us to preserve humidity in the soil and the freshness of the grapes.
A special work on the soil has been done to oxygenate the roots, we have avoided deleafing to prevent direct sunlight from hitting the bunches, keeping them from having burns, and we have delayed the thinning of the leaves so as to not risk damaging the
bunches. Lastly, in order to ensure elegance, freshness and avoid excessive alcohol content, we have started harvesting ten days before the usual date (20 / 27 September). Elegant and sweet flavour, excellent structure and silky tannins are the distinctive traits of 2017 Barbaresco wines. “Stefano Chiarlo, Winemaker”
