Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG 2019 – Avignonesi

£38.60

In the glass, this wine reveals intense garnet-red reflections. It undergoes a minimum aging of 18 months in Slavonian oak barrels, barriques, and 500L tonneaux, followed by at least 6 months in the bottle.
The nose offers aromas of wild red berries, including strawberry and redcurrant, followed by pomegranate and the unmistakable violet fragrance of high-quality Sangiovese. Hints of vanilla, sweet spices, and liquorice round out the bouquet.
On the palate, it is well-balanced, featuring notes of ripe cherry and plum, supported by precise and elegant tannins. The body is warm and enveloping, leading to a long and persistent finish.

Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG 2019, Why We Love It And Why You Will Too

The 2019 harvest was exceptional. A Perfect Vintage. Warm days, without excessive dryness, ensured a harvest of outstanding quality and generous yield, with just the right amount of rainfall.
Made from 100% Sangiovese, the Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG 2019 embodies the balanced and harmonious characteristics of its terroir. It boasts a medium body, well-integrated tannins, and a distinctive flavour profile. While ready to drink now, it also has remarkable aging potential.

If you notice sediments in this wine, it’s a sign of authentic, minimally processed Sangiovese. These deposits are due to high levels of quercetin, a natural antioxidant, proving the wine’s purity. This is not a flaw but a signature trait of fine Sangiovese.
The Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG by Avignonesi is a true representation of Sangiovese in Tuscany at its finest!
