Vin de la Neu 2020 – Nicola Biasi

£150.00

The 2020 vintage is incredibly captivating. It reveals a blend of floral and fruity notes reminiscent of magnolia blossoms, gardenias, chamomile flowers, white peaches, crushed almonds, and rose petals. Additional nuances of thyme and white pepper define the secondary profile. It’s sweet at its core, perhaps the sweetest vintage on the nose ever. Full-bodied, with a distinctly linear and vibrant savoury structure, and a juicy, bold finish that relies on precision and the length of the aftertaste as its main strengths. Drink now or let it age—this wine is exceptional.

Vin de la neu 2020, why we love it and why you'll love it too

This wine is the one that made us fall in love with Nicola’s talent. A truly unique wine, just like every vintage of Vin de la Neu. It was the first we decided to import, a true love at first sip. We fell in love not only with the wine but also with the Resistenti project and the amazing network of people behind it.
Speaking of the wine, the word “unique” is often overused, but not in this case. Vin de la Neu 2020 stands among the best wines in both the Italian and international wine scenes. It represents not only Italian excellence worldwide but also the evolution and change that the wine industry is experiencing now and will continue to see in the future.
An incredible wine, a symbol that will forever change the way wine is made.

Vin de la Neu 2020

Vin de la Neu 2020 is Nicola Biasi’s masterpiece, designed to challenge conventions and create a new category of wines. Each vintage offers a unique expression, showcasing exceptional potential for evolution and individuality.
Inspired by his drive to innovate, Nicola Biasi revived high-quality viticulture in an area once renowned for grape cultivation but later dominated by apple orchards. This visionary project took shape in the stunning Dolomite mountains, specifically in the Non Valley of Trentino.

In 2012, Nicola made a bold decision to replace his family’s apple orchard with Johanniter, a white Piwi grape variety resistant to fungal diseases. The results were immediate and extraordinary. The first harvest in 2013 produced 300 bottles. Though not intended for sale, these bottles proved the experiment’s success and set the stage for future vintages. By 2020, production had grown to 957 bottles, with this vintage earning the name “The Finesse.” Each year, the wine reflects its own distinct identity, built around the elegance and vibrancy of its unique terroir.

The vineyard, established with precision and care, was created with one purpose: to cultivate the highest quality grapes. This dedication results in what is considered one of the finest Italian white wines.
