Lacrima Superiore “Luigino” DOC 2018 shines with a dark ruby red hue and vibrant violet reflections.
The nose is intensely floral, with notes of rose and violet layered over red and black berries. As the wine breathes, it reveals deeper aromatic complexity and subtle evolution.
On the palate, it is full-bodied and structured, yet elegant. The finish is long, slightly spicy, and beautifully persistent.

Lacrima Superiore "Luigino" DOC, Why we love it and why you’ll love it too!

This wine isn’t just rare. It’s unforgettable.
Only 2,000 bottles exist, and every one of them tells a story — of family, tradition, and a grape that nearly vanished.
Lacrima Superiore “Luigino” DOC is not your typical red. It’s floral and delicate, but also deep and structured. Roses and violets meet berries and spice in a dance that shifts with every sip.

It’s made for those who love to discover something new. Something unexpected. Something local, bold, and beautifully different.

Cantina Luigi Giusti

The Giusti family has worked these hills for generations. Their vineyards sit on south-facing slopes in Montignano, cultivated with low-impact methods and organic principles.
They reduce yields with short pruning and green harvesting to preserve quality over quantity.

The grapes are harvested by hand in small crates and brought immediately to the cellar, which stands right among the vines.
The estate focuses on Lacrima di Morro d’Alba, a native variety once at risk of extinction. Today, it represents a true symbol of the Marche region.
Vinification and bottling follow strict DOC rules. All operations must take place within one of six authorised communes in the province of Ancona.

My father and I had a dream — to make these hills speak. Our wines are a tribute to Luigino Giusti and his big heart.”

Lacrima di Morro d’Alba

Lacrima di Morro d’Alba is one of the hidden treasures of Marche winemaking.
It grows only around Morro d’Alba, a small hilltop village between Senigallia and Jesi in the province of Ancona.

The word Lacrima means “tear.” It likely refers to the grape’s tendency to burst, releasing drops of juice that resemble tears. This wine offers a unique bouquet of lavender, rose, and violet, with richer tones of stewed strawberries. On the palate, it shows hints of vanilla, sweet spice, and blueberry brioche.
Typically dry, mid-bodied, and moderately tannic, Lacrima is also produced as a sweet passito or a fascinating sparkling wine.
