Incrocio Bruni 54 Marche IGT 2018 – Viticoltori Finocchi

£16.50

Incrocio Bruni 54 is the result of the crossing between Sauvignon and Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi made by Bruno Bruni back in the 1940. On the nose, notes of grapefruit and orange are followed by sensations of orange blossom with a salty note, typical of Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi that appears towards the end. Soft wine, with an important acidity but balanced by excellent flavours, of citrus and savoury notes in the medium-long finish. Pair it with starters, fish dishes, pasta and poultry. Also good with vegetables and pizza. In short, wherever you want.

Incrocio Bruni 54

The Incrocio Bruni 54, also known locally as “Dorico” was created in 1936 by the internationally renowned professor Bruno Bruni, by crossing the Sauvignon Blanc and Verdicchio varieties. It is widespread just in Marche region, between the cities Ancona and Macerata. This grape variety was developed to adapt to specific climatic conditions and terroirs, resulting in a wine with unique characteristics. The wine produced from it is renowned for its approachability and versatility. It can be enjoyed both on its own or paired with a wide range of dishes, including seafood, pasta with rich sauces, or medium-aged cheeses. The specific qualities of the wine may vary based on the winemaker’s style and the terroir where the grapes are cultivated, contributing to added complexity and individuality in each bottle.
