Forte Veneto Bianco IGT 2022 – Colle Regina
£26.60
Forte by Colle Regina is a wine crafted with passion and precision. It undergoes fermentation in uncoated cement tanks and matures on fine lees for nine months with constant bâtonnage. The result is a wine of remarkable character, produced in limited quantities.
Its pale lemon-yellow color hints at the freshness within. On the palate, it is medium bodied, mineral, and dry, with notes of vanilla and butter, accompanied by vibrant sapidity and pronounced acidity. The nose reveals an intense and straightforward aroma, offering scents of white melon, white peach, and sage.
Only 2,000 bottles of this extraordinary wine were produced.

Forte Veneto Bianco IGT, why we love it and why you'll love it too
Forte Veneto Bianco IGT is a bold choice made by visionary winemakers. They replaced Glera, the grape behind Prosecco, with Solaris, a revolutionary PIWI variety.
I first tasted it alongside Nicola Biasi and Marco Nardi, the sommelier at Caractère restaurant in Notting Hill, London. The experience was unforgettable, featuring a lineup of truly exceptional wines. Don’t just take my word for it—explore their wine list and see for yourself!
Colle Regina
Colle Regina is a family-run winery based in Col San Martino, Veneto. This location lies at the heart of the Valdobbiadene Superiore DOCG denomination and has been recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage site since 2019.
The winery takes its name from the historic, morainic-origin hill where it stands.
Committed to biodiversity, Colle Regina practices organic farming. They balance vineyards with meadows and forests, reducing CO2 emissions from production. Their principles focus on respecting the land. From cultivation to winemaking, they ensure every step is natural and ethical.
Piwi and Resistenti: A Revolution in Sustainable Winemaking
Colle Regina began as a “Piwi” winery and is one of the founding members of the Resistenti project. But what makes Piwi wines unique, and what does the Resistenti project achieve?
Piwi wines bring a revolutionary change to sustainable viticulture. Made from fungus-resistant grape varieties, these wines require far fewer chemical treatments, reducing their environmental impact significantly.
The Resistenti project, led by award-winning winemaker Nicola Biasi, unites leading Italian wineries that share a commitment to sustainability. These wineries achieve qualitative excellence while focusing on sustainability in every step, from the vineyard to the bottle.
