The Tenuta Sette Ponti has been one of the family’s properties since the 1950’s, when Antonio’s father, Alberto bought the initial 50 hectares directly from the princesses Margherita and Maria Cristina Savoia Aosta. The “Tenuta” is located in the Chianti area, between Arezzo and Florence, and takes its name from the number of bridges that cross the river Arno between the two cities. The first of these bridges, the Buriano Bridge (13th century) can been seen in the background of Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa.
Our history is one of passion, dedication and, above all, love of the vine and its traditions. Our corporate philosophy embraces the goals of quality and research, while embodying the heritage, learning and practices of our ancestors over many ages, respect for the land and its equilibra – with an eye on leading-edge expertise in the agrarian and winemaking fields.
The estate today, after several acquisition over the course of the years, comprises 300 hectares, with 54 under vine. The varieties produced are Sangiovese, the traditional grape with the great internationals Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc and other traditional grapes in less quantity like Trebbiano.
The soil varies from clay to sand, with limestone and the typical stony galestro found in this area. The vines grow at elevation ranging from 200 to 300 metres. The vineyards are planted to a high density of 6,666 vines per hectare, a system that results in extremely high-quality fruit.

The wines are produced by technicians of the winery supported by a team of consultants coordinated by Dott. Moretti Cuseri. They are the finest expression that this prestigious viticultural area is capable of producing an impressive work of nature accompanied by the dedicated efforts of man and by the course of time.
